testimonials
During Roopinder’s co-op term at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), I had the privilege of supervising him as he worked on key engineering projects in the Design and Fabrication Services branch. He played a crucial role in simulation and analysis using ANSYS Workbench and CAD modeling in SolidWorks, where his meticulous approach to problem-solving, technical proficiency, and commitment to continuous learning greatly contributed to project success. Roopinder’s ability to automate processes, conduct detailed analyses, and collaborate effectively made him a valuable asset to our team, and I am confident he will excel in any future technical role.

I had the opportunity to work closely with him on a critical project involving thermomechanical analyses of bridge components. Roopinder excelled in conducting finite element analyses using ANSYS and integrating fire simulation data from FDS to improve model accuracy, while demonstrating excellent data analysis skills and meticulous attention to detail. His ability to synthesize complex data into clear reports, manage time effectively, and contribute collaboratively made him an invaluable team member, and I am confident he will bring the same dedication to any future role.

During Roopinder’s MEng project at the University of Ottawa, I had the pleasure of supervising him as he explored and implemented SLAM algorithms on a mobile robot platform in my research lab. He showed great initiative by choosing to tackle a complex problem in autonomous navigation, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and the ability to adapt to new challenges. Roopinder consistently displayed solid problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, and a proactive approach to addressing hardware-specific constraints, making notable progress in applied robotics throughout the project.

I had the pleasure of working with Roopinder during his internship with PolyUnity. Roopinder brought such an infectious enthusiasm and eagerness to his work and was very excited to learn while always finding new ways to improve existing workflows. Over his internship, he designed and 3D printed many parts for healthcare users at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario that are still in use today. Roopinder's troubleshooting skills, design aptitude and friendliness toward PolyUnity's clients made his internship very successful!
